Back in the 2006 time, Stanley got to know this girl online who was still brooding over her ex-boyfriend & who was crying all the time. She was Charlene. He didn't know why, but he just felt that Charlene needs someone who could be there for her. He had a very deep impression of her when he first saw her online. So, he sent a private message to her online, and told her that nothing was worth crying at her time of age. She said that she understood but she just can't help her tears from dropping. There's nothing much that Stanley could do. So all he did was trying to be there at his best, trying his best to console her although both of them were just in a cyber world. They didn't know each other well at all that time, but somehow, they got along quite well. As time past, there wasn't any topic for them to chat about, resulted in a "stranger status" between them and their communication started to drift. Charlene had been stalking on Stanley's online profile everyday, as though she was really fond of being part of his life, but Stanley didn't know about this at all. Months later, Stanley got a girlfriend himself and he was very happy. He then posted all over his online pages that he was finally attached after being lone for some time. Charlene saw that, she broke down into tears and there's nothing much she could do but to send her blessings to Stanley. One day, Charlene approached Stanley, " Hey, how've you been doing ? " " Well, i'm doing great with my girlfriend around ! How about you ? " Stanley replied joyfully. " Erm, actually I... I've been doing very great with my dream boyfriend as well ! " Charlene hesitated when spoken. " Oh that's great for you! Wish you all the best ! " Stanley replied. So, because of this speech which Charlene had to tolerate the urge to telling him the truth that she had actually fell for Stanley, they stopped contacting one another. And of course, Charlene was very upset about it as Stanley was the only guy who was able to help her get over her ex-boyfriend, and was also the first guy who could ever let her feel so much love. She couldn't take all these facts herself, therefore, she consulted her good friend, whose name was Fiona. She told her every single thing between Stanley and herself. Tears went swimming down her cheeks when she talked about how great a person Stanley had been to her. After Fiona got to know so much from Charlene, she was so furious and had the urge to look for Stanley. So Fiona went online and search for him and sent him a private message saying this,
" Why did you give Charlene so much false hope when you know that you don't love her at all!? Why did you have to act so keen in front of her when you know that you'll only be there for her for the time being!? Didn't you feel anything special when she told her that she is doing great with her dream boyfriend? Or did you not know that her dream boyfriend was referring to you? Do you know how much she hopes that you'll be there for her again?"
One day, Stanley received this message. And he was really shocked when he saw every content in the message. He felt guilty, and thought to himself, "oh shit, that wasn't what i meant when i tried to be there for her, no feelings was supposed to be there, she must have mistaken about me."
He then replied,
" Erm, may i know who're you? Let me explain everything to you clearly. First, i was there, because i guess she really needed someone to be. Second, i dislike seeing others being upset. Third, i got no feelings for her at all, i just hope that i can make her feel better, that's it."
Years gone, Charlene was sick and tired of waiting for Stanley, she moved on with her life, looked for a new relationship where she could start herself new. Having search so hard, a guy, Zack, staying at West fell for her eventually after being in a group of same clique with Charlene. Months of getting along with one another, they got attached. Stanley didn't know anything about this.
Zack and Charlene were rather close, they did everything they could to make one another felt that they really belonged to one another. And guess what, she got pregnant when Zack made a mistake during their session. Charlene was shocked and Zack was very anxious. Didn't know what to do or what will happened next, Zack ran away from Charlene, and didn't came back to her after that incident happened. Charlene was totally in a maze then, she didn't know where could she head to and who she could consult.
One day, Charlene picked up her courage and called Stanley, " Erm, are you Stanley ? " Charlene spoke. " Yup, you're Charlene if i'm not wrong about your contact number." replied Stanley. " ......" Charlene started crying badly over the phone. Stanley took no hesitation and quickly asked her about what was going on. " Stanley, I.... I am pregnant!" He was shocked, and didn't know what to say or do to console Charlene.
" Why the fuck did you get yourself pregnant! Let me tell you something, i'm utterly disappointed in you. I've lied to your friends, I've lied to myself, I've lied to you. I loved you. I got a girlfriend because I just wanted to know how important was i to you when i was there for you for just a period of time. I only heard from your friends, but not you. Why didn't you look for me for years, when i've broken up with that girlfriend and was waiting for you. Craving to hear from you so much."
" Stanley, let me explain...." Charlene cried but Stanley hung up the phone instantly. " I got pregnant accidentally, and i got a boyfriend because i wanted you to realize that how much i meant to you as well !I lied to myself that i've given you up! "
After this conversation between them, they never contact again. & This story told us something which can be so crucial to speak out to the one you love. Never lie to yourself and never hide your feelings from them, because you'll never know if things will ever turn out badly.
